Prophecies- predictions of what come to pass

In the spirit of Elijah

Elijah was the prophet of natural earth science, a climatologist who made both rain and draught, a physician, who restored life to the dead, and also healed sick waters and among other scientific wonders, he was also a cosmonaut, who travelled across reaches of the universe we are yet to fathom. Such is the spirit of Elijah, a mltidisciplined approach to existence with total relaince on the the Creator.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. Malachi 4; 5&6

The Elijah that was promised is still to come and relevant to the latter days, for the preceding context of his coming is described as the day of burning. Although some of Christ’s quotes referred to John the Baptist as having been a form of the spirit of Elijah, Jesus still maintained that Elijah was still to come.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.’ Malachi 4;1

Elijah is from the Hebrew name Eliyahu which means My God is the Lord’. The coming of Elijah thus is metaphor for a determination of God as Lord. The means through which this is accomplished is hinted in the next verse, as well as that being the outcome. The heart is ordinarily a metaphor widely used in reference to feelings, will, or also intellect. In paraphrasing the prophecy of Malachi, with substitute for the meaning of such metaphors, the implication of the promise of this prophecy is in regard to the affirmation of God through the inspiration of knowledge that is amalgamated in concurrence between the ancients and the modern. The ancient wisdom as bequeathed to the ancestors of humanity is thus prophesied to make a comeback and be clearly understood and applied by the modern generation in forestalling the otherwise imminent scourge over the planet. Malachi thus identifies the ancient wisdom of the fathers to be the requisite remedy to the crisis facing humanity as of present. The knowledge of the present times such as the technological breakthroughs is likewise to be employed in constructive application of the ancient truths. The use of technology to not only recover the wisdom of the ancient times, and their knowledge, as has been witnessed in archeological digs recovery of ancient manuscripts is already precedent. Knowing however is not sufficient but the recovered wisdom necessitate to be applied. In identifying the ‘fathers’ or the ‘children’ as plurals, Malachi is alluding to the diverse cultures as must have had different lineages. Also the heart cryptically refers to the centre or core.

There was no other centre in ancient times other than the doctrine of the ‘tree of life’. It was the one unifying motif shared by all the fathers of humanity as then they clearly understood creation and the world they all shared as members of the human race. The ancestors having already departed from this world may not be able to oblige their ways to our ways. Hence the only way the paradox can be resolved remains in our hearts turning to the hearts of our ancestors. This is the similar paradox that Jesus used in rejoinder of parable of the wages to explain the apparent discrepancy that the disciples queried. (Mathew 20 verses 1-16). In the parable, a householder hired different persons to work in his farm each one commencing work at various stages of the day. For those who had started work in the morning hours, the agreed pay had been stipulated. But other workers commenced work much latter in the day. At the close of the day, the householder paid each one of the workers equally according to a days labour as had been agreed with those who had commenced in the morning. These then complained as to why those who had joined the work force much later, and therefore accomplished a lot less were equated in pay with them. The wise householder informed that he had indeed fulfilled his obligation to them all, and it was not their business to question his fair treatment of others. Thus in stating that the last shall be first, and the first will be last, infers that all will be equally remunerated. For when last=first, and the first=last, such an occurrence infers that indeed all from last to last is equated. To have the hearts of the father’s turn to the children, and those of the children’s turn to the fathers likewise affirms equality from the beginning to the end. It is on this basis that it is said of Christ, that he is the alpha and the tau, the beginning and the end. (Revelation 1 verse 18). Now this tau is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, as opposed to the Greek omega. The tau is in reference to the tree of life. It is further affirmed of the unchanging nature of God, that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13 verse 8). The tree of life is the resultant of the immutable and constant Creator.  The correct understanding of creation is the key to recognizing the creator, God. It is this recognition of the designer of the universe which is implied from a designed outcome and whose established concept is the converse. Thus the knowledge of the tree of life is what our generation requires to grasp and hastily act upon, using our positive technology to cultivate and tend the tree so as to salvage that which remains, and by so doing, push back to avert the global crisis presently confronting humanity.

The heart likewise as a central theme of quest is referred to as the quest through which the great discovery of the otherwise elusive God is to be found. For through the quest of the tree of life, and the learning thereof of the science is tied the irrefutable facts and figures which illustrate creation as the work of a complex and masterful design, which infers the presence of the Creator, God. The proof of the spirit world, as well as of extraterrestrial life in those far off galaxies, as well as the existence of God is certainly proven and found in the heart of planetary intellect, when man should so quest with all his heart.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.- Jeremiah 29; 13

The detail of how to avert global crisis is strangely encrypted in the life and deeds of the great prophet Elijah, and hence the promise that he was come, and assist in averting the curse of God from damning the world. The failure of humanity to heed Elijah would default in escalation of global crisis, which is as the curse of God. Elijah is introduced as the Tishbite, which other than the name of a location means recourse. Well, this is the first hint as to what the identification of God is necessary for. For recourse means a source of help in a difficult situation’. This Elijah was of the inhabitants of Gilead, a name which directly translates as heap of testimony’. Thus in his configuration, Elijah (my God is the Lord) is the source of help in a difficult situation, and is of the grouping of the accumulation of evidences. The first we see of Elijah is when he confronts the rebellious king Ahab to inform him of the judgment of draught and famine that were determined to plague the kingdom for a stipulated time. He then flees from the face of the king and resides eastward by the brook Cherith (division), which is before Jordan (descent). Now this infers that the Identity of God as a solution to crisis is in the past before the world was divided by the descent trend of error. It was in those days then that the ravens from heaven brought to Elijah his daily feed; just as in those ancient times before division and descent, the heavens supplied the necessities of the earth.

After the brook dried, Elijah was commissioned to go to Zerephath (refinement), a city of Zidon (fishing). It was in this city that Elijah encountered a widow woman, (desolate woman also adulteress) that was indeed desolate as she was in the act of gathering wood to prepare the last meal for herself and her son, after which they were to perish. Thus the state of the city of ‘water’ when ultimately refined to something else is comparable to this destitute woman, as it is incapable of sustaining itself. The widow may however have had nought to do with the refinement of the city of waters, but just as with most inhabitants of the earth, only have to subsist within the impossible resultant of an altered ecosystem.  Adulterating the place of waters with a strange refinement was the occasion for the desolateness of the land. For agreeing to feed the prophet with her last reserves, it was reciprocated to her that the reserves would miraculously be replenished until the day the drought would be over. The world in crisis is likewise being miraculously sustained for the sole and relevant effect of maintaining the lives of the children of faith, until they should awaken to their calling and heed to the wisdom of God to revive the planet. Although not recognized as such, the manner of provision for a large portion of human beings who have to live from hand to mouth is an amazing miracle akin to that of the destitute widow at Serepath. For it is the greatest practice of faith to so live, without reserves for tomorrow nor employment security, yet each day witness the provision of God, as of the reserves that never dwindled but remained until the drought was over. Whereas it is not God’s will that anyone should be destitute, the miracle to this widow and her son is a testament to all eternity that God will keep all who believe in him in spite of the shortcomings of this world. The destitute in our time suffer the similar fate as with this widow at Serepath, as the foolhardy refinements to our world by those who amass great resources has resulted in massive inequalities. The intervention of God for the sake of the destitute is an ongoing miracle. There were many widows however in the region, yet Elijah had been sent to this particular one for the cryptic lessons entailed.

The destruction hitherto meted against the essential structure of the world ecosystem has been off balance now for quite some time and only the miraculous intervention of the heavens has been sustaining the cycles of food supply for basic existence. It is imprudent however of the world to hope to continually subsist on interventions rather than addressing the root causes of the crisis. The interventions though are promised subject to the sustenance of godly elements among humanity, the absence of which would negate the promise. The bloodshed against the innocent and the prophets (inspiration) of the Almighty is ultimately negating the intervention.

Thereafter while abiding in the house of the widow woman, her son ailed sore and died. The widow woman then cried to Elijah as to whether he had come to cause her sin (probably of adultery) into remembrance and to thus ultimately slay her son. Elijah of course passed over this lament to God and for a solution; he stretched himself upon the child three times in supplication that the child’s soul should be revived. And it so did happen that the child came back to life. In these rather mundane events is encrypted a most potent formula of how the barren earth is to be revived. It is in agreeing to heed to the inspiration of God that the earth is sustained even when its natural resources and condition are in the contrary. But the heeding of the inspiration of God and the retrieval of knowledge causes the sin of the world in adulterating its hydrological cycle with vain refinements to be recognized. This sin ultimately results in the death of civilization and the world with it. But there is hope of reviving the dead world. For indeed, had not the prophet Elijah visited the destitute widow in that opportune time in the past, both her and her son should have already died after consuming their last meal. Thus the injury against the widow’s son can in no way be imputed against the man of God. He had brought with him an extension of life. This extension however was only momentary and radical measures required to be incorporated to reverse the real cause of the destituteness of the place. Although the radical measures as obtained through revelation of the ancient records imply death to the world, they also promise regeneration when applied. The application of these measures involve duality of the heavens and the earth, just as Elijah stretched himself over the child and beseeched heaven to restore the child’s soul. As to the reason he had to perform this ritual thrice is relevant to the three distinct ways in which the heavens compare to the earth. It is also noteworthy that to Elijah had been given an upper room and he had to descend to bring the resurrected son down to the mother. Thus the resurrection of the earth is ordained in the upper room’ and brought down to earth. It is on this juncture that the woman, symbolic of the earth, acknowledges the veracity of the word of God, and the greatness of his prophets. It is in the solution to world crisis, when this shall be realized according to the ancient prophecies, that man shall acknowledge the way of God as supreme and perfect. The introductory chapter of Elijah thus concisely enumerates the Elijah dispensation albeit in cryptic imagery.

Thereafter Elijah is commissioned to seek out the king Ahab and initiate the process of healing for the land, after a spell of draught over Samaria (reservation). This is literally Elijah the rain-maker. The nefarious queen Jezebel is also introduced, who had destroyed from the land the prophets of God and in their stead brought in the vain prophets of Baal. Jezebel incidentally meansstrange dwelling’. A way of life estranged from the natural is thus the inference of the wicked Jezebel. Obadiah (serving Jah) was the choice man of Ahab to scour out the land in quest of water. This Obadiah had concealed from destruction the prophets of God, which implies he was actively engaged in the wisdom of inspiration. It usually trends similarly that the rulers of the world in times of crisis resultant of their mismanagement of affairs will always return to the prophets of God for solutions. Whilst embroiling in debauchery and desires of the flesh, they yet seek to associate themselves with godly men. The quest for pasture at all the brooks and fountains of waters is always the resultant in drought and that is when people recognize the value of the hydrological chain. Elijah manifested to Obadiah and the occasion was set up for the super duel for the land, to ascertain which is supreme, between the Baal and Jehovah. Baal can be interpreted as lord of vanity, or the diverse masters who are without true basis and root. These encompass everything that is not rooted in reality and truth, where the evaluation of truth is the propensity and potency to support life. With Jezebel spelling out ‘strange dwelling’ and Baal as masterly of vanity, urbanization which is a model of life based on vanity is certainly the allusion. The vices associated to urbanization and the unchecked and unplanned sprawling of world cities is itself the cancer that is killing the world.

The incidence of vineyard of Naboth further identifies the change of fruitful land into other manner of land use as the goading factor called Jezebel and the gods of Baal, with the children of Belial(worthlessness). For when Ahab desired the fruitful land of Naboth(fruit farmer) the Jezreelites (mighty in cultivation), and Naboth had declined citing the tie of inheritance, it was Jezebel who advised the king as to how best to get rid of the man and take over his land. Noteworthy is that the land was not only to change hands, but likewise its intended us, from being a farm of vines and fruit trees, to being one of herbs(flowers). Naboth had been offered other farmland in exchange or monetary compensation for the value of the land. Is this not the prevalent trend in modern land transactions? Ancestral sacred land however has no equation neither monetary value nor compensation with like. The water towers may not be exchanged for the plains but must be maintained under appropriate tree cover. The rectitude of Naboth thus manifested in that he would not be deceived nor coerced by neither guile nor power to depart from the course of right. He also clearly understood that only he would maintain the correct land use of his inheritance.  It is most injurious to the earth to change arable land under fruit propagation into housing estates. It is likewise injurious to subvert the water forests into arable land especially under cultivation of vanity crops such as flowers and useless intoxicants. World governments as well as market trends have presided over the subversion and outright robbery of land from its rightful owners and occupation. This is a sore evil that is not even captured in the land rights of the world. Just as Naboth died from the abetting of justice by Jezebel, time and again the similar has been enacted from the days of colonization to the present, to sustain the demand for expansion of city dwellings and their associated infrastructure. Jezebel’s judgment for her idolatry and wickedness as well as subversion of justice is likewise judged to die by a most gruesome death within the city for which she is symbol of. She was tossed off from the window and was literally eaten by the dogs of the city. The evils of urbanization literally will destroy both its drivers as well as the world. For when nature is out of balance and the food crop lands all converted to housing estates, it is no rocket science that draught and famine follows, and after them the bloodshed over competition of scant resources. These latter are the dogs who are nurtured by urbanization yet will guard against the desolation of the natural way of life. They are always loitering within the city wall seeking out to kill the spirit behind the inception and growth of cities.

Ahab had sought for Elijah to lift up the famine from off the land, or else have him killed. Yet now it was Elijah who was to find his way to the king. The world wrongly imputes global crisis to be God’s doing. It is not, but rather the mismanagement of the planet by humans. The word of God only serves to identify the root cause of the crisis, and offer the only viable solution. For indeed the root cause of all evil is the departure from the knowledge of God and his appointed way. There are two kinds of prophets who ate at the table of Jezebel, 450 as the prophets of vanity-Baal, and 400 were the prophets to the groves. Prophets in those days were the custodians of knowledge whose modern comparison is the men of learning, the excellent of their particular disciplines. The groves here are symbolic of human efforts at redressing nature but at the same time being subservient to the process of Jezebel. Noteworthy is that the prophets of the groves, as conservationists were not among the prophets of Baal, and did not suffer the similar fate. It was rather that they received from Elijah the critical lesson of nature, as to how nature operates, and as to that God Almighty is supreme. They would also serve as witnesses of what has transpired. The location they were all to assemble at was Mt Carmel (fruitful field), which just but stresses the theme of this convention, an evaluation of the supreme method to the fruitfulness of the land.

The method for the confrontation was laid out. That two bulls provided for each of the parties were to be prepared for sacrifice, but without the fire. The parties would then each take their turn to request for fire to descend from heaven and consume the sacrifice. The essence of this proof was to determine which of the deities the Israelites were divided upon was in control of the heavens, from whence originates both the blessing of refreshment as well as the curse of flaming draught. The prophets of Baal took the first turn and spent the entire day at their fruitless antics, including the literal bloodletting. Not even in the noonday sun was found any response to their request, all 450 of them. Elijah after most of the day was spent asked to take his turn. In order to dispel any doubts, he requested for water in four barrels to be thrice doused on the sacrifice and alter he had made, until the entire trench filled with water, in the face of the entire field. When these had been done, only acknowledged aloud in supplication that everything he had done was at the behest of the Lord. He did not even ask for fire to descend from heaven. The symbolism of his deeds here are significant to any initiate of the natural order. For the four barrels of water symbolized the planetary sky river divisions as described in Eden. The fire from the heavens is symbolic of how the sun’s fire both dries up the earth, as well as lift up moisture from the earth which latter precipitates as dew and rain. Thus symbolically there exists an alter land over the planet for which this miniscule event was symbolic of. The alter land is it which require to be maintained thoroughly doused in moisture. Just as Elijah excavated a trench round about the alter, and the water poured over the same filled this trench, as well as covering the twelve stones of the alter, its wood as well as the sacrifice, the natural earth alter should be maintained saturated in all its surrounding valleys, its forest cover as well as the animal life within it. The number of stones for the alter other than signifying the twelve tribes of Israel, are also known to depict the mazzaroth, which is the astral designations of the months. The altar ought thus to be maintained in saturation throuout the year. Likewise the identification of the altar is referred. For just as the altar was to be composed of twelve unhewn stones, nature in its most pristine form and that corresponds to the duality of the heavenly mazzaroth is all part and parcel of the earth’s altar. This may be illustrated as the complex landforms which span out from the centre of the Adoma, as the roots and branches of the tree of life. The Mount Carmel, also known as the mountain of Elijah is a constituent portion of the earth altar system. The altar in Hebrew is identified with the offering of sacrifices to God, whereas in Latin is Alterus in reference to the raised up land or mounds, which were again associated with sacrifices. A relation between the mountains of the earth and the earth altar system is clear from such etymologies. The sacred mountains in their complex relation to the rain cycle should apltly be preserved in vegetation cover and all their valleys and surroundings dammed so as to aid the hydrological cycle and enhance the tree of life.

Thus with Elijah, the dousing of the altar with water was not only to dispel the peoples’ ignorance and doubts but was also a scientific lesson demonstration as to who the supreme giver of life is betwixt the Baal and the Lord God, and the process it entails. The adoration owed to God in association to nature when aptly honoured is the ultimate rain making process. In diverse African communities, spells of draught were associated with grievous sin hidden within the community. Such would be as the use of sorcery to harm others and also the breaking of the taboos. A sacrifice to God would be prepared in which everyone in the community was to participate and declare any sins within their cognizance. Other rites would be carried out essentially to cleanse the land, and thereafter, the rains would come down just as in the case of Elijah.

After these events, the prophets of Baal were gathered and slaughtered at the brook Kishon (snare). Indeed they had been ensnared and their lies destroyed by being illustrated for the vanity they were composed of. Then Elijah prayed over at Mt Carmel for rain and in the seventh time of sending his servant to check if any clouds were forming over the seas, the response was in the affirmative. The symbol of seven may relate to the duration of time between when the people turn to God and how long the redressing of the earth should take before balance is restored. It would refer to the seven years, literal or symbolic, of Ezekiel where the wicked aspects of the earth are located and buried in bid of cleansing the planet and to renew the earth. The alter over Carmel as a hydrological cycle instigator is a scale representation of the earth alter land, known as Eden, Puanta, Shambala, Axis Mundi or by any other title, whose function was so addressed by Elijah at the behest of the Creator, that when it is doused with water, and the people turn to God and his ways, by abandoning vain exploits and related abominations, and clears the land of vanities through intelligent application of the ideal, then the power of the sun as the fire of the Lord from heaven will serve in the regeneration of the planet through the ultimate rain making process, the tree of life.

Jezreel means God will sow. This is the city where the king and Elijah both returned to from Mt Carmel. When the land turns back to God, then God will sow the land and make it productive. The apocalyptic battle of the day of Jezreel is as such the determination of what system of subsistence is ideal for the planet, whether it is that of the vain Baal with proliferation of cites, or whether it is the natural way of creation as installed by the Creator. The world in choosing the way of Jezebel destroys itself in the manner of Jezebel. But in choosing the way of God, and ascribing to God’s appointed plan for the earth, then the Lord sows and maintains the earth with the gifts of eternity.

The rest of the deeds of Elijah were of as much greatness as the formative and likewise full of allegory. For his fleeing from the wrath of Jezebel, is comparable to the fear and dread the children of truth perpetually face at the threats of the worshippers of vanity. Yet these latter have no real power against God and his ways. However, whether in fear or boldness, the prophets of God remain in the guidance of their master. The duration of forty days for which he fled, without food is in significance the many years the knowledge of God remains lost to the world. On his return, Elijah had various commissions to appoint, the chief of which was Elisha (God of supplication/riches) son of Shaphat (to judge). Elijah as restorer of the ancient ways leads the world into the era of great wealth and of justice. The efficacy of the tree of life once revived and tended to accordingly would foster into the world great increase in productivity of the essentials and of the positive values. Hazael (God has seen) was to be anointed king over Syria (the highland) and Jehu (Jehovah is) son of Nimshi (liberated) as king over Israel (rule as God). Thus over all lands the outcome of the application of the Elijah dispensation would be under the leadership appointed from God to oversee his will.

Elijah according to the scriptural record was taken up to the heavens and did not perish the ordinary death of mortals. Such an achievement reverberates powerfully of the Elijah dispensation. The nature in which Elijah was taken into heaven was by a whirlwind. ‘And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.’ The appearance of a chariot of fire and the horses of fire that parted between Elijah and Elisha is indeed a mystery as to what this alluded to. For yet Elijah was taken up to heaven by a whirlwind, and not necessarily by the chariot and horses of fire. Chariots of fire powered by fire are now a common place occurrence, realized in the technology of the fuel combusting engines. The appearance of the Chariot of fire is mostly likely a vision reverberating on prophetic allegory. That the opportune time for which humanity should ascend in knowledge and wisdom, as Elijah ascended, is when the chariots of fire are the order of the day. Indeed, it is a fire driven technology beginning with the steam engine and now the internal combustion and jet propulsion engines which are most responsible for the laying waste of the planet. Should humanity fail to ascend to the high knowledge of the heavens then indeed the doom of the planet would be certain. For the sustainability of the fire based technology is already in doubt given the nature of the non-renewable energy source it chiefly relies on, the damage it inflicts on nature notwithstanding. Thus the appearance of the chariot of fire powered by fire was typically a vision identifying our present time civilization as the period inferred by the allegorical life of the iconic prophet Elijah’s return.

Joel son of Pethuel and the army of destruction by burning

Prophets in the bible commonly depict the motif of restoration of the earth to its once and ancient glory, as the destiny of our existence. The Prophet Joel son of Pethuel (Jehovah is God, son of enlargement of God), describes these latter days pretty graphically. His army of destroyers, who are preceded by devouring fire which burns out the land from before them, transforming earth from its pristine nature to a concrete scathed jungle, actually is a depiction of the industrial revolution, and which birthed the present civilisation. We are the army of dread, which burns up the entire earth. The chariots of dread are our mode of transportation, which navigate through sea, land and air and consists of the bane of the natural creation. Modern civilisation is the enemy that is killing the life out of the earth, and the cause of the distress the earth is subjugated under. This modern state is what is also styled as Babylon, which then the wisdom of life must seek to destroy in order to re-establish the tenets of the realistic life. In the modern set up of civilisation, humans excel by the untenable exploitation of resources, which most amass to themselves by conversion into the standard of wealth. If the requirement of a single human is a unit of wealth, there are people who have amassed billions of such units to themselves, which only renders them as giants, and fools, for none by amassing substance is yet able to add on to the days appointed them on earth. Hence it is really out of sheer ignorance, and to personal hurt, and ignominy, that one seeks to amass that which is not really expedient to their subsistence

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;  A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.  And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Joel 2 KJV

Restoration of the tree of life

The tree of life and the river of life are the central theme of both the old and new testaments in the bible. The restoration of the flow of water, and the nurturing of the tree of life, are the key, according to the prophecies, to the restoration of creation. When humans in their impudence consistently fail to manage the earth resources, then the intervention is brought by the Higher powers, the Creator, God, who, seemingly is constantly interested in earth affairs.

Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold oof the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.  And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.
Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees.  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this?  Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river. Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.  And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Ezekiel 47 KJV

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.  And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
